The firm offers a legal translation service. All translations are carried out by lawyers and/or translators specialised in the translation of legal documents such as notarial deeds, excerpts from business registers, commercial contracts, powers of attorney, etc.
The legal translator’s job is more complex than one might think. In addition to having a perfect command of the source and target languages, they must also have advanced knowledge of the law as well as the writing skills to translate the nuances of the source text.
Translating a contract from Spanish into French, for example, involves moving from Spanish law to French law, and consists of making the principles of the two legal systems coincide.
This is why a legal translator must do more than just translate. He or she must also carry out terminological and comparative law research, so that the translation is in perfect harmony with the target.
